Citipost Mail Shortlisted for Personnel Today Award

We are delighted to have been shortlisted in the 2019 Personnel Today Awards. The prestigious nomination for Employee Engagement comes in recognition of our commitment to both staff and stakeholders.

The Personnel Today Awards celebrates the best in HR, with some of the UK’s top employers making the grade, including AXA, BT and IBM. Sponsors include Lloyds Banking Group, Civica, PeopleScout and The Guardian Jobs.

Hannah Simmons, Head of Human Resources here at Citipost Mail, says “Preparing the award submission gave the HR, marketing and management teams an excellent opportunity to review many of our processes and we were delighted to record how much we do to encourage employee engagement. That said, we wouldn’t be where we are without the incredible staff at Citipost Mail. Our 99% employee retention rate tells us we are doing lots of things right and our customers are always telling us how valued they are made to feel by the staff they deal with.

“Recently implemented initiatives have resulted in immediate improvements in recruitment, training, staff wellbeing and teamwork. As an organisation we have seen increased business awareness at all employee levels, creating better synergy between departments and individuals and improving processes and procedures. Staff are more motivated, and we have seen a related decrease in sickness absences and an increase in internal promotions.

“We still have fun and do lots of external activities to unite the team, because we understand the value of treating our staff as engaged and valued stakeholders in Citipost Mail’s continued growth and success.”

Personnel Today editor Rob Moss said: “It’s an exciting cohort of organisations in 2019. The competition in each category has been intense. Congratulations to everybody who made this year’s shortlist and thank you to everybody who entered. “A special thanks goes out to our judges who gave their time to look closely at our entries.” The awards ceremony will be held on 19th November 2019 at Grosvenor House on Park Lane, London.
