The Direct Marketing Institute (DMA) and the Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) have recently announced that they have merged to create one powerful, industry wide leading body.
As a combined group the new organisation is now the largest trade body in Europe, becoming a leading provider of specialist qualifications and amassing a revenue of over £8 million.
The DMA and IDM will continue to operate as individual brands, taking on the world of data, creativity and technology and serving a £14.2 billion industry with a workforce of over 530,000 people.
Julia Porter, Chair of the DMA says,
“The recently re-launched DMA Code of Practice and Guides establishes a modern framework for responsible marketing in our profession whilst the IDM training and qualifications provide the skill sets and knowledge needed for practitioners to succeed. The DMA and IDM are two halves of a shared mission that will be better achieved together.”
